Five and Seven Card Poker Games Welcome to where we describe three poker games that can be played with both five and seven cards. Blind Played with five or seven cards dealt face-down as in draw poker, but unlike draw poker, the cards are dealt one at a time and are followed by betting rounds like in stud poker. The game is played clockwise, starting from the player to the left of the dealer.
All rounds of the game are completely equal. Each player is dealt a face-down card and the batting takes place. When played with five cards, there are five rounds, and when played with seven cards, there are seven. The dealer may choose not to bet until 2 or 3 cards are dealt to every player. This is particularly common in a seven card game. The Deck The Deck is a five card game, where each player receives one face-down card at the beginning. After that the dealer turns up a card from the top of the deck and offers the first player to his left to take this exposed card or to take a blind card, which is the next card at the top of the deck. If the player chooses the exposed card, he takes it and the dealer turns up the next card and offers it to the next player. If the player chooses the blind card, he receives it face-up and the same exposed card is offered to the next player.
When all players make their choices, the exposed card (if it was not taken by the last player) is put at the bottom of the deck and another card is exposed to start the next round. When all players have one face-down card and four face-up cards, the showdown takes place. Take It or Leave It Take it or Leave It is similar to the Deck game, but after the first face-down card is dealt, the next card is not exposed, but dealt face-down to the first player to the dealer's left. Like in the Deck, this player does not have to accept this card, but can pass it to the next player in clockwise direction. If he does so, he receives the next card face-up from the top of the deck, and accepts it automatically. The next player, who received the card from the previous player, has the same choice. He can either accept the card or pass it further. The player who accepts the card turns it face-up. If all players pass the card and it comes back to the dealer, he may take it to himself or discard it, dealing another card for the next round.
The game ends by a showdown when all players have one face-up and four face-down cards.
Take it or Leave It can also be played with seven cards. In this case not one, but two face-down cards are dealt at the beginning, and the last, seventh card is also dealt face-down and can not be passed, so all players will have 3 face-down and four face-up cards in the end.
